Many people may have read the bible at some point in their life and dismissed it after finding it to be a seemingly archaic and controversial book, based on debatable history that happened hundreds of thousands of years ago.
I'll tell you a little secret about the bible, although maybe you've already found this out for yourself. Jesus was a breaker of prejudices and stereotypes. He wants our faith to bring us together, not separate us. It’s time for a new interpretation of the scriptures that create inclusion to God’s people!
It’s time we break the stereotypes of old ideas, old stereotypes and old agendas. Old-world Christianity served it’s purpose throughout history, but aren't we allowed to evolve as a Christian nation by *gasp* challenging some of the old beliefs and making the choice to step into a unity of Love? Can we start blending into a new progressive faith, where God writes the law on our hearts? In other words, we know how to be good people in our hearts? This is the time of a New Covenant where we have to listen to Holy Spirit.
Do you really think Jesus wants us to stay stagnant in faith that divides? If you’re open-minded enough, what about a new interpretation of the bible that unites, makes rooms for and uplifts all people regardless of religion, race, sexual preference,?
