All I have to say is WOW. Listen to this song and tell me if you feel blissful peace too. This is a great song to pray/meditate to. If you're good at visualizing, it's easy to get lost listening to this.
I grew up listening to the group Hiroshima. They hold a special place in my heart. Their unique blend of Jazz Asian-Fusion music is rare and beautiful. There is a quality of heart that is poured into this music.
"Ever evolving, the 2010 Grammy-nominated group, highlighted by the sound of June Kuramoto’s shimmering koto (noted by Stanley Clarke to be the world’s best) creates music and sounds totally unique--with depth, heart and soul."
Tabo is for sure my favorite song by Hiroshima! I always thought the song was very beautiful, until one day I had an experience that gave the song special meaning to me as well.
Listen to it and see what you think. If nothing else, this song will make you smile and bring you peace when you play it.
This is a song of healing. If you're going through a time of healing, close your eyes and listen to this. Or play it for someone who needs healing and visuallize God's love making it happen. Our thoughts and prayers are powerful beyond belief. Let this song be your melodic guide through it.
" “Thousand Cranes” was inspired by Sadako Sasaki, a Japanese girl who was two years old when the atomic bomb was dropped on August 6, 1945, near her home by Misasa Bridge in Hiroshima, Japan. Sadako is remembered through the story of attempting to fold a thousand origami cranes before her death, a wish which was memorialized in popular culture." 'The Golden Age'
This is a more upbeat song by Hiroshima. I believe it was released in 1976. Listen to the lyrics. Doesn't everyone have this same wish for the world we live in?
All of their lyrics are beautiful and inspired by love. This music was made in the 80's mostly, but it's timeless none-the-less.
"After I heard about the tragedy in Japan, especially for those in Sendai (home of my stepmother's family), fans and friends, it seemed only natural that I contribute something in someway to help. So with that being said, I am releasing 'Wings of Faith' and dedicating it to those affected by this horrible event. The song is a firm reminder for those who are struggling, that by having faith we can overcome all obstacles. All monies generated by the release of this song will go to Red Cross to help those who are in need. I thank you all for coming together at this time of crisis to aid our brothers and sisters. Your support for our friends, my family and those who are suffering is the first step. We must constantly make it our goal to extend help for those who are in need. God bless you all.
